I’m going to be honest with you, I’ve never liked seafood my whole life. I’ve always avoided it or refused to eat it because I thought it would be awful. Also, the movie ‘Finding Nemo’ made me want to avoid seafood all together.
I was invited to Eddie V’s to try out some of their dishes and to check out their ‘Sparkling Sounds’ event. I was hesitant. I knew their menu to be seafood based and never really looked into it. My boyfriend has always asked me to try seafood when we go out, and I’ve always wanted to try lobster. I knew good lobster was hard to find, so I figured, why not try it here?
As soon as we walked in, we could hear the live band and it sounded so relaxing! After a long day at work, what better way to wind down than live music, drinks and food?
We started off with the Lobster Tasting Trio! This was part of the Sparkling Sounds of Summer special and it included Lobster and Potato Croquette, Lobster Tempura and Mini Lobster Thermidor that was baked with shiitake mushrooms and sweet onions. This special also includes a glass of wine! Each trio is only $25 and will be available until July 28th! Each item in this trio was DELICIOUS. Let me tell you, the lobster was so good, that I was shocked I was even eating lobster. I am now a huge fan.
We also tried the crab cakes, and they are so tasty, especially drenched in lemon juice!
We had to take a minute to decide on what to order for our entrees, there were so many tasty options! We ended up ordering the Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and the Parmesan Sole that had heirloom tomatoes and lemon garlic butter sauce. These two dishes were so flavorful, I forgot that I was even eating seafood. The flavors were so delicious and the food was cooked to perfection!
We paired our entrees with Eddie V’s famous truffle mac n cheese. SO. GOOD. So good. Just order this and thank me later.
After all of this, we ended with some dessert (obviously!) We got the Dark Chocolate and Crushed Toffee S’mores. It was crunchy, sweet and the perfect end to a fabulous dinner! The service was excellent, the food was cooked to perfection and the ambiance was very delightful! We will be back to get our hands on these yummy dishes again!
